Game day review

Hello Airsofters, This past weekend we played  at 911 Airsoft. It was a blast with a great turn out of over 50.

There were questions of hits not being called. I have played for over 16 years and have dealt with this lots of times. So consider some facts before jumping to judgment. Consider the impact area, where your round hit. If shooting semi auto or as a sniper you are using one round at a time and its harder to feel the hit if you got shot center mass. The reason for this is due to the gear that the person may be wearing, from a thick sweater, to ODU with a chest rig and also full mags, and if you shot them in the back, they might have have a back pack or hydration pack or both. So they might not feel it threw all the gear they wear.

This guy cant feel a thing

Next Sound, some times you may get hit and hear it rather than feel it. But consider if the player being shot is also shooting back. This will make it far harder for the player to recognize that he has been hit because his AEG is also pounding away at rounds. Also consider that your ear is also less then 10 inches away from the gear box making it almost impossible to here. So depending on where the person is shot they may not feel it, and depending it they should have herd the shot, they may not hear it.

Lastly the flow of adrenaline can cause some of your feelings to go a little numb. So they just might not feel not, but its not because they are cheaters its just circumstances. Now for your part, some times your hop up is climbing too high or dropping sooner then you think, also consider that sometimes your eyes can see every thing.

Now for the people that do cheat. Yes it happens, but that is a small number, like 1 in 30 or even less. Most people don’t become immortal until they play and think someone eles is cheating. Then they go for vengeance. The Best way to take out a cheater is simple, get a partner and get closer. It is actual harder for a cheater  to cheat in airsoft because of the fully auto guns but its almost impossible if there are 2 full autos shooting them. The best way to get rid of the cheater virus is 2 parts, 1) to join there team and play along side them, then you will see it for your self. 2)  talk (not yell) to them  after the game and ask if they got hid during your conflict. They may tell you something you did not know, such as “your rounds were dropping early, or your gun was hitting to the left or right” after all of that, you may have 1 in 50 still cheat, but then you know you just have to hose them down or ask the ref to keep an eye on them and the field owner will get involved and may do something about it. No one wants to cheat knowing they might get banned. Because getting baned makes there $500 investment in guns and gear worthless.

So in conclusion, most people are not cheater, and just have fun.

Merry Christmas from us here at Airsoft action field and well see you after the New Year.

Now quick update on the rental project, No new guns this week. Also we would like to here what you want to try. Just leave a comment in the comment box and we will have a vote on it.

Next up Raffle update. No new entry’s this week.

New Airsoft Rentals

Hello Airsofters, today we are happy to announce our new rental program that will be coming soon. While most people who read this post already own their own AEG’s this is an opportunity for others who are curious about the sport but don’t want to commit to the initial price tag that goes along with it. A great example would be redbox, I wish I would have rented some videogames for $1.50 before I spent $60 on the game and realized it was trash.  The new rental program also allows Airsofters the opportunity to try different models before buying them. For instance, you might like a LMG like the M60 E4.

But when you played with you realized that it is too heavy for long events, or that it was  great at and that you wished you had it sooner. In either case, if you didn’t like it you only lost out on about $30 with some BB’s- as opposed to $350 and then trying to get someone eles to buy it off of you on airsoft classified or craigslist and on top of that they only want to give you $200 for it. So for new players, and already seasoned players the rental program is here to help you save money and to add to our growing community of Airsofters in Sussex county Delaware. We are still working out the contracts, pricing and, AEG’s to rent. So stay tuned for the release date. Untill then we have the first 2 of our AEG rental menu.

First up on the rental menu is the Classic M4.

Why? Because it is widely recognized in games and it is a great middle of the road gun. The M4 can be an in door or out door AEG, it has many upgrade parts for customization. Easy to use and a adjustable stock that fits most sizes.

Second up on the rental menu is the UAR.

The UAR gives players the option to try a gun type that you don’t see much of in the sport. The bullpup design looks great and allows for a full size barrel in a compact weapon. It has quad rails for upgrades/ accessories. This all polymer built AEG also makes it light and easy to carry. So if you like to rush this AEG is great for you, light weight, compact, and great range. click this video it says it all in 4mins and 2 sec (video)

Raffle update, we are up to 47. If you want to join the raffle for the free Lancer Tactical AK just sign up in the contact box below and take our quick survey to help keep Airsoft Action Field going.

New AEG’s and New airsoft field upgrade

Hello Airsofters! Over the past few weeks a lot has happened. So let’s start with some of our new products; the Lancer Tactical AK, and the IWI Tavor TAR-21  (Just click the link for details). These AEG’s are a little different from the usual AK and Bullpup designs.

Fist up the Tactical AK. This AEG has many details that make it unique. The quad rails make it easy to customize with add-ons and accessories like fore-grips, lasers, and sights.

The adjustable crain stock is similar to that of the crain stocks you find on M4’s. This makes it easy for players that use an M4 to transition to the Tactical AK.

Lastly, the ambidextrous charging handle is useable on both sides of the AEG, however this is only a cosmetic feature (pretty cool feature though).

Next the TAR-21. This AEG is fully licensed and has some features that also set it apart for the usual bullpup style AGE. The iron sights on this AEG are flip up front and rear sights along with a rail for optics like red dots or scopes. I should also note that there is a conversion kit that replaces the entire top and makes it into a flat top rail system (the kit is $70).

Next, the TAR-21 also features a functional bolt lock / release. This is only a cosmetic mechanical feature but it adds to the realism of the AEG. Lastly, the ergonomics of the fore grip. It is not easy to see in pictures but once you actually hold and shoulder the AEG you will understand the feel of the grip. It differs from the usual fore-grip of other bullpup rifles like the AUG wich has a vertical grip. It has a pretty steep angle wich is much like the angled fore-grip that you would add to your railed AEG for around $30-40 dollars. So, it’s like a built in angled grip. The whole thing is very light weight and comes in at 4.1 pounds (1900 grams).

Next up; if you didn’t know, 911 Airsoft had a build day. Many local players  came out to help support  Dave ( the owner ) at 911 Airsoft to build. All of the players donated their time and carpentry skills to help assemble and construct what will be a small town.

Though the entire project is not fully complete, it is on schedule to be completed for the “Lost Paradise” charity game scheduled for March.

The volunteers also received a special patch from 911 Airsoft.

So special thanks to the airsofters that came out to help.

If you are wondering what the game play will be like now that 911 Airsoft has buildings, there will be a walk on game on 12 DEC 2015. The start time will be 1100-1600 (11am-4pm). So bring your new Black Friday guns outs and play some airsoft.

We are now up to 46 in the raffle so keep telling your friends so we can give this awesome prize away and move onto the next prize.
